Child Sponsorship Program
Most of the children that are registering to attend Living Waters Education Centre are from very poor backgrounds and can hardly afford to pay the small school contribution required from parents. These contributions only help toward some of the school materials and paying for the Uji (porridge) that is served daily to the children. This may be the only meal some of the children will have in a day.
These children have potential and need the opportunity for a quality education. If the children are not attending a school they may well just stay at home to do household chores.
The sponsorship program offers an opportunity to donors to sponsor a child’s education in order to achieve their full potential in a loving and supportive environment. The sponsors contribution will defray the costs for tuition, uniform and school learning materials. When the new school building is completed, there are plans to serve a lunch to the students, which will also come from the sponsors contribution.
We welcome you to sign up to sponsor a child attending Living Waters Education Centre. We have a simple form for you to complete as a sponsor, which will be posted to you upon request via email. When signed up you will receive the following:
- A photograph of your child
- A book mark of your child
- You will also have an opportunity to exchange letters at various intervals during the year.
